At the risk of calling it early... apart from Root and Stokes who is probably well past his best, I can't see any players in the England side remotely near world class. Relatively speaking could this indeed be one of the worst England sides to arrive on our shores? If not quite the worst ever. Edit: Ok and Brook is world class for sure.
This maybe one of the most ridiculous posts ever, and I'm not a fan of this side.

Another pretty good session for us, just losing the one wicket for 89 runs,

England will be regretting bowling first unless we collapse in the last session which isn't looking likely.

Me either. My fave of all time is Bryan Waddle, whose closest shave with playing top level cricket was being a sub fielder in India because most of NZ's players couldn't control their bowels.

Now, if I'm listening to two complete morons being paid (presumably) to waffle in a characterless NZ accent then I can much more easily tolerate the one I have semi-fond memories of playing the game.
The TVNZ coverage in the 90's used to have a few non-cricketers. Peter Williams, Geoff Bryan and Grant Nisbett. I think Sky took their lead from Channel 9 in Australia who only had ex-players.

On the radio Garth Galloway and Ron Snowden are other non-top cricketers who were excellent.

The NZ commentators aren't too bad compared to the Australian commentators where you have to deal with the likes of Hayden, Langer and Warner.

I like the England commentators for this series too with Gower who is good value and Harmison who is a much better commentator than I expected.
