DrWolverine

U19 Cricketer
Tests : Sanath > Gayle > Rohit

ODIs : Sanath > Rohit > Gayle

T20s : Gayle > Rohit

If Jayasuriya played in T20 during his peak, he would have been just as destructive as the Universal Boss and been a useful bowler too.

This is from what I have seen. If anyone can convince me with reason or stats, I am willing to change my opinion.

Rohit Sharma is the best ODI player of these 3. Just too many USP's.

●Highest ODI score of all time
●Most ODI hundreds in World Cup Cricket
●Only player with multiple double hundreds
●Only ODI opener in the top 10 highest run scoring openers to average over 50. In fact nobody in the top 50 averages over 50 as an opener, Rohit averages over 55.
●Second most prolific six hitter in ODI history after Afridi

Jayasuriya and Gayle have impressive all round skills but not enough to be ranked above a top 15 bat in ODI cricket which I think Rohit is. You can talk about different eras and what not but I value body of work over guesswork, 29 ODI hundreds in 176 innings @55 opening the batting ,with a high SR is consistency and power.
