**Official** 1st Test @ Perth, 22nd-26th November

India will probably win by a lot but they’re also guilty of making changes for the sake of it

Sundar and Reddy have only been picked because it’s in Australia
DC was the leading wicket taker in the recent NZ series and he only played 2 matches!
Also coming into this series with a test batting average of 59 isn't the worst. He's definitely got some credentials to be the best all-rounder in the world. Jury still out though as to whether he's an arrogant **** or not.

Be loath to drop Sundar. Looked really solid in the second innings and I'm 100% there's a big contribution from him lurking somewhere in the series. You'd want Ashwin's superior skills in Adelaide but can't afford to lose a bat either so it will have to be Jadeja for Padikkal. Rohit replacing Jurel too, sadly.

Just wow. Cummins says he doesn't expect any changes to the XI for next Test

"The sole concern heading into the next Test might be all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who Cummins conceded was "a little bit sore" after his bowling workload at Perth"

Marsh should just give up bowling as he pulls up sore everytime he bowls

How can you keep the same attack when together they’ve only won a single test match against India in the last 7 of them at home? You have to drop Lyon, Starc and Haze at the very least.
There would be an inquiry into BCCI interference in CA selection if they dropped Lyon, Starc and Hazelwood for the next game.

Well Starc has historically been poo vs India. Without checking, I wouldn't be all that surprised if his career average against them is over 50. But you can't drop them for a day nighter
Actually you can. Haze averages 7 more runs per wicket in pink ball tests. Boland should play instead of him imo, he took a ten fer in the pink ball shield trial all those years ago.

Marcus Harris currently 50* in a shield game at the moment. Gives him 519 FC runs @ 51.90 this season in case Australia is looking for an actual opener 😉

Yeah well you shouldn't drop one of the few impressive players after shellacking like that

Yes because the bowlers outside team are so much better than them not.

When your captain has to turn to Marnus for some dibbly dobbly bouncers then obviously the bowling is the issue. I would honestly start from a clean slate. Spencer Johnson and Boland with the new ball.
