Yeah, from what i saw his line and length weren't consistent enough to create any real pressure.
Well he might be bowling 134 kph but he hasn't taken a test wicket since March '22

Don’t mind it but I think I’d go Akash over Rana from what I’ve seen. He’ll be able to use the pink ball better imo.
Also I know he didn’t make runs but Jurel over Jadeja or Ashwin.
Who to drop from Australia's top 6? Here are the batting averages in the last 12 months (all played 8 Tests since the Ashes).
Marsh - 553 runs @ 42.53 (6 wkts @ 34.83)
Khawaja - 459 runs @ 30.60
Smith - 382 runs @ 29.38
Head - 369 runs @ 26.35 (3 wkts @ 27.00)
Labuschagne - 330 runs @ 23.57
Surely they have to drop Labuschagne for 2nd Test? Bring in a new opener with McSweeney at 3 or bat out of form Smith 3 with spare squad bat Inglis coming in?
I'd be bringing in a new opener that can actually bat time to take the shine off the ball

Trust the same players , India were just the better side dust yourselves off and go again.
Yeah but our batsmen have been horribly out of form for over a year vs 4 different countries, so not just an India thing (played Pak, WI, NZ and India)

Yeah if you think this is the best side, you gotta give them another go. I guess they may drop Marnus for a proper opener, sure. I am not sure its gonna fix their biggest issues, which are Smith and Khawaja's form.
