Impossible to say for sure, but I'm looking for opinions. Don't think that's very impossible.

Practically, it's not possible to do with any objectivity. I, as you may have known, is only a couple years senior of yours so haven't even seen Jonty, let alone Colin Bland. But still, based solely on reputation; in no particular order:

Nah, not that easy. Jondy was a semi-specialist fielder. He fielded in few positions. If you take all round fielding Symonds, harper and Mahanama are right up there. if you take specialist fielding Eknath Solkar probably is better than Jonty in their preferred position of fielding.
