Ignoring overall quality, who is the best bowler of great spells in their ideal conditions?
In their ideal conditions makes it more plausible too because if it was just in general, it would have to Ambrose because he was capable of producing collapses on better batting tracks than Broad. Johnson very dependent on the southern hemisphere etc.Is it crazy if I think it's Broad? His "on-a-roll" spells were astonishing. There was a Cricinfo analysis which showed he took a 5fer within an unchanged spell of bowling on 7 different occasions, which is far more than anyone has managed since the mid 90s. He's had a hand in so many of the craziest collapses I've seen.
Does ideal conditions means we ignore consistency (as in, instrumenting a collapse on such conditions consistently)??Is it crazy if I think it's Broad? His "on-a-roll" spells were astonishing. Yeah I actually think it's Broad honestly. His spells were total momentum shifters. Is it crazy if I think it's Broad? His "on-a-roll" spells were astonishing. Yeah the point was who was better at producing great spells when conditions are rightDoes ideal conditions means we ignore consistency (as in, instrumenting a collapse on such conditions consistently)??
I am asking the "conditions are right" means the pitch and weather or just them having a good day.Yeah the point was who was better at producing great spells when conditions are right
Both. Them having a good day when the conditions are right.I am asking the "conditions are right" means the pitch and weather or just them having a good day.
Has to be Ambrose.Yeah I actually think it's Broad honestly. His spells were total momentum shifters.
Tbf was uncalled for given Kyear didn't even posted anything. And Ambrose was pretty devastative.Has to be Ambrose.
His ATG performances include 14 wickets in 4 tests. Imagine the devastating spells.
I couldn't help but take a dig tbh
Taking digs is never called forTbf was uncalled for given Kyear didn't even posted anything. And Ambrose was pretty devastative.
Agreed. Unless they are abused.Taking dogs is never called for
