Can Agree To Disagree. Kapil was, imo, a better bowler than Botham slightly.
Botham 1977-1985 was better than Kapil in both disciplines. His batting especially. Explosive and with more flexibility.

Didn't sustain his performance for as long, but hit a higher level over a long enough period of time.

He did. Especially as a batsman, Botham is simply better overall. But also, he was really bad for a good chunk as well. As bowlers they are close.

Yeah Botham's performance sustainability and record v WI both work against him. I think he was over bowled, but probably has to take some of the blame for his lifestyle.
