**Official** 1st Test @ Perth, 22nd-26th November

Whatever it takes!!!
Aus may have bowled well, but this batting effort is almost entirely down to the fact that Indian batters are not able to bat time. Rather than being able to absorb pressure and be comfortable not scoring, they look to score runs, and make mistakes in the process.
Well, they have definitely tried this time, unlike the NZ tests. I think its a pure skill issue at this point. This side has players who are either yet to reach their potential or those who are well past their best. Very much the 2011 case but called earlier this time by most of us. I dunno, I somehow think they have exceeded my expectations here, which perhaps tells you how little I expected in the first place.

Right back at ya, @OverratedSanity

I'll take 150 tbh, given my expectations before the start of the game. If this inns as anything to go by, we'll be relying on our middle order (Pant, Jurel and Reddy) a lot this series

They didn't try against NZ? Thanks for informing me.
Lol.. they were not trying to bat time there for sure. They kept looking for the glory shots. Here, they tried but were just not good enough in these conditions against this attack.

Of course, if you are gonna misinterpret every post willfully, there is not much I can do.

,🤣

To be fair, I think he has a point. They didn't seem like they were interested at most points during that series. The hustle I thought would come from 0-1 down especially never did.

Credit to Pant and Reddy for getting India to a score of 150, that still looks at least a hundred below par but if they bowl well they can stay in the game.

Jaiswal apart, that was a really piss poor shot early on with a new ball in Perth.
