Among the players present, the only one to Captain Pakistan is Salman Butt, whom we don't want as captain, for obvious reasons. Next, Wazir Mohammad led his team in Pakistani domestic tournament for a long time, and also captained a young team to England of which 14 later played for Pakistan and 4 even captained the national team.

Also, fun fact I came across while researching this team: apparently Nazar Mohammad retired after 5 Tests despite averaging close to 40 for an injury. That injury he apparently sustained while jumping out of the window of the famous Pakistani singer Noor Jehan's house when her husband unexpectedly returned home...... Way to end a career!!
