Klusener a good comparison, now you mention it.

This would be a good watch, shame I can't get it live. Kusal Mendis might see SL home though needs a partner. NZ only have 10 spin overs of the remaining 14, though I guess they could chuck the ball to Chapman too. Smith and Duffy will need to do a job.

That Smith over has pretty much ensured this won’t go to the 47th. NZ to bowl out SL if they are to win this.

Good effort from Kushal, been hobbling but gutsed it out there. Contrasting effort to Chapman’s.

Eh 14 run over off Smith, needs a collapse for NZ to win now.
Here it comes...

One of my favourite things in cricket is the lower order player who gets stars in his eyes, and tries to win it off his own bat when the other guy is the one to leave it to. They know they won't get the chance too often...and that last shot is why.

With Santner and Bracewell bowled out, might be time to try get those lower order eyes to light up once more and buy a wicket with Sodhi's last over of pies.

Looks like we might've preferred some real part-time fifth-spin-bowler filth from Chapman on this wicket, rather than Duffy or Smith's pace. 15 runs, oof. Though I doubt Chapman still even bowls in the nets.

A very fun game to watch and a reminder that ODIs can still be absorbing (when the bowlers get a look-in). Sadly very much the exception these days.

Nice to see Hay and Chapman making some runs. Also, sounds like the pitch was offering a lot of spin, but you'd think Santner would have given Smith at least a couple of overs up front. Anyway, well done SL.

Terrible bowling from Sodhi. Full tosses and long hops, a help yourself buffet.
His first 5 overs were rubbish but next 4 were surprisingly consistent and threatening. Landed his legbreak on the same spot for the most part and beat the RHs outside edge a number of times. Legit one of the best mini-spells I’ve seen him bowl. Another day would’ve had a few wickets.

I'd like to see Max Chu get an opportunity at some stage this summer as well. Has a good reputation as a 'keeper and seems to be coming of age with the bat, if that knock today is anything to go by.
Has been consistent with the bat in both white and red ball cricket of late, especially for a WK. I can't comment of his keeping skills though. Is he good?
