Good. Would be criminally reckless to send them. I don't see how any Indian admin body can take their Pak counterparts at face value w.r.t. security arrangements.

Why would Sri Lanka co-host when they are not even in the Champions Trophy?

Easy decision for me, if India say they won't play then it's next team in which is Sri Lanka who finished 9th in qualifying
The other option is UAE which aren't in the champions trophy either

Who cares there are plenty of other teams who would like the chance to play I'm sure
Well for the tournament to be financially viable India has to play , teams like England have said it's not an option for India not to be in champions trophy

Yeah but that's been the go to neutral ground for decades. Only UAE or Bangladesh would be an option imo but it's a bit late to make changes to country. India have known they'd be playing in Pakistan since WC 2023 (actually since June 2021 when ICC named Pakistan as hosts)

Also not fair India would be based for example in UAE while all other teams have long flights to them and back to Pakistan

Even SL has hosted neutral matches for Indian team and Pakistan that's not the issue here

The more I think about this the more of a joke it is. Basically if India make the semi-final and final these matches will be outside of the host country. Why should any host country ever accept that?

This sounds funny that the host wont be able to "host" the final if it comes to that. I read Pakistan making it a real effort to make this a success. They formed committees, renovating stadiums and what not. Its tough on them if they dont get to host the final eventually if it comes to that. They will eventually give it up due pressure though.

It could get ugly considering that Pakistan played in India for the 2023 cricket world cup
