*Official* New Zealand vs Sri Lanka- White Ball Tour of SL- November, 2024

Those ropes were so far in (although still normal-ish sized boundaries by nz standards) that 6s are a low risk option.
One thing when a team has to set a target, the other when it's chasing. NZ were behind the 8 ball very early going into their innings. I believe they lost more wickets than boundaries struck in the powerplay.

Similar to Latham's dismissal in the 2nd innings of the second test. Another lbw shout were a tiny slither of the ball was hitting in line.

Decent effort from foulkes. Really like the look if him, didn't realise he could clock 135 consistently, thought he was more mohammad abbas.
Yep mid 130’s will probably see him get up around 140 in the next year or two. His bouncer his lethal too, gets a lot of batsman out with it. Real surprise factor to it.

There is a lot of hype over Nathan Smith but I reckon this kid is, and will be a much better cricketer. Big call but I think he’s our best cricketer in 4-5 years. As long as he can stay injury free.

Foulkes gets some violent movement with the new ball aswell doesn't he? If he reaches that Cummins pace like your saying he could be a menace.

I like him just because it's rare for someone's stock ball to right handers with the new ball to be a ***y hooping inswinger.

It was a full toss hitting shin 'outside' line of off stump. As it was a full toss there was no 'clutter' or optical illusion of pitch and impact (there was only impact) - that sometimes messes me up where I find my gut initial judgement of an lbw might be way off.

This just always looked not out, which is why I thought it worthy enough to comment on.

I reckon an umpire would prefer that to have been overruled by a mm rather than sustained by the mm it was. Hence why I said professional embarrassment.

I wasn't even aware this match was on last night, not that I could have watched it anyway as there is no coverage of this series here.

It looks like we were playing a less experienced line up than Sri Lanka so not that surprising that we lost.
