Purely as bowlers, maybe not that close. But with Wasim’s batting, it’s close(those Marshall comfortably better).

One averaged 22 while the other 18.

The one that averages 22 had a massive unbeaten score that aided that a tiny bit.

One was the greatest bowler in the history of the game and a decent bat. One was an ATG, borderline top 10 bowler and a slightly better bat.

Not sure how the latter falls ahead.

Marshall is definite top 5 bowler and slightly worse bat.

I still mentioned even with that, Marshall is comfortably ahead

There’s no bowling advantage. It’s all conjecture
You have to choose two bowlers to win you a match or series in any (random) condition, country and vs any opponent. Which two or three gives you the best opportunities to be successful?

Of all of them don't you think that some of them have proven themselves in more conditions and we're more reliable match winners home and away?

It's not all conjecture.

I would choose Akram and so would a decent majority of cricket fans, pundits and pkayers
