After all the wickets in his 11th hour Australia A callup, Brendan Doggett has been released from that squad and is back in the 13 man squad for the 50 over gane today.

Bit of a change going from being the fastest bowler in that Aus A XI to only the third fastest in this South Australia side

It's not how fast you bowl, it's how you use it

Must say it is slightly annoying Johnson is in the side for that Pakistan JAMT20I series. Would have preferred to see him playing Shield cricket tbqh

Wouldn't be a workload thing either as he took 5/31 for West Torrens on the weekend

Never once thought that in these tempestuous times, that Mackenzie Harvey would be the true source of solace

Long may it continue though

Just having a look at FC averages for batsmen on the fringe of test selection and it really paints a sad picture. It seems everyone is averaging in the 30's

Harris - 39.62
Konstas - 39.41
Hardie - 39.02
Bancroft - 38.87
McSweeney - 38.82
Maddinson - 37.95
Webster - 37.45
Renshaw - 37.39
Whiteman - 37.20

Even the current Test 5-6 average in the 30's in FC (Head 39.95 and Marsh 34.21). The only one's I can find that are 40+ are Davies (47.90) and Handscomb (40.28)
