An Indian spinner completely missed the pitch twice in an overIt can match the choke in the Women's BBL I just witnessed then. SS were 151-4 after 17 overs needing 172 for victory.......they finished on 160-9!!
Yeah that was a bit of a mystery tstl but as you say it probably didn't matter in the end. I think it was quite a good deck for batting and those earlyWe may well have lost anyway, but that Mandhana non-review is bothering me even more now.
I think there's a big drop off from the real top players to those at graded level. I once found myself watching Knight batting in a County game (I should've been watching my daughter on a nearby pitch but this was mesmerizing). She was just different class to the opposition and made the most effortless ton I've ever seen.An Indian spinner completely missed the pitch twice in an over
Dropped into a ladies 1st grade game on the weekend to see a friend and the standard was horrendous with much of the bowling being just awful
My friend knows far more about it and says that the standard is going backwards at club level
From 51-0 to 83-7 was quite a collapse.Watching the WBBL game, Grace Parsons has been fun to watch. Gives it a real rip
Looked useful with the bat too. Might be one to keep an eye on this season.Watching the WBBL game, Grace Parsons has been fun to watch. Gives it a real rip
Capsey is just about the most overrated female English player IMO.From 51-0 to 83-7 was quite a collapse.
Another fail for Capsey, struggling to remember the last time she played an innings of substance.
Yeah just seen it. Outrageous catchThat catch by Strano is one of the best c&b's I can recall.
Although, the other 17 balls she bowled went for 41 runs!!
On the back of the World Cup, this should really be the time that they make the most of the feelgood factor. It was a shame they played the Indian series straight after, a chance to give them a big homecoming would've been ideal. But then I don't suppose anyone really expected them to win it....Just had a look at the new WFTP. NZ not playing Tests, it's disgusting at this point. I'm sorry.
The West Indies rejoining the Test Club has thrown out whatever flimsy excuses NZC might have had. Tell you what, outside the Big 3, NZ has probably one of the best & most professional setups. Sure, we'd like it to develop further, & I see domestic professionalism as the next frontier, but when the Windies is playing & even HOSTING Tests, your last justifications are gone. If CWI, one of the poorer boards alongside NZC, can do this, then there are no excuses for NZC at this point. Is NZC's opposition to them ideological? Because with CWI agreeing to them (& even hosting them), you can't blame finances anymore (not that I ever bought it in the first place).
Also, I'm really not happy at the WPL moving into January. That moves right onto Super Smash's front lawn. I'm not thrilled at the prospect of this season potentially being the last season of SS the likes of Melie play.
I actually didn't mind the India ODIs all that much. It was moved from last year to not clash with the WC & without it being where they put it, there were very few places to put it, maybe squeezed in just before the WPL in February. Definitely not January; no way these days NZC is taking WFs out of SS for a bilateral. At least they were better acclimatised than they would be if they were coming from home.On the back of the World Cup, this should really be the time that they make the most of the feelgood factor. Not sure that's really how you capitalize on a world cup win, try to sell your product for free, but hey I'm not the numbers girl any moreHopefully this might help: https://www.nzc.nz/news-items/free-...bhQKpfB3TDlDgfaJQA_aem_YB6kFrSdzvYHyldDxvAAUA
