Tbf England is one substantial partnership (it has to be this one or one of these two with the keeper) away from setting something like 130 odd which everyone knows Pakistan is well capable of capitulating when chasing. Having said that, as things stand right now Pakistan is well on top.

Hes also a kid who isn’t going to deviate from the Party line which in this team is constant, deluded positivity in the face of even harsh reality

Yeah, let's not act like England has no firepower left ffs. Only two prolific scorers in Root and Brook, a guy known to put up big innings in tough spots, a guy who just put up a great fight 2 days ago. I mean sure these are not ideal conditions for them, but to write them off already is just ridiculous.

Whatever it takes!!!
England definitely still in with a chance but Pak is easily 75% favorites right now, for me.

The uncles and their Urdu misleads and unerring accuracy, unwavering line and length bowling, insatiable stamina and the big hits from down the order - this is one bloody feel good story, literally in the case of Sajid. Just amazing. Even their sledging comes off as good natured. Just so chuffed for them, Salman, Shakeel etc. I also think Masood is showing signs of maturity as a captain in going with the flow and making decisions than just giving some stupid templates of playing aggressively etc. His patient knock yesterday is underrated in terms of impact on the game, he kinda took the wind out of their sails after the 2 or 3 early wickets for their spinners.

Nomi Bhai and Saj7 have been trying to both coax something like this with the change in pace every other ball.

Root's been good handling them though.

I will always be a big Ben Stokes fan, but there is zero justification for him playing as a specialist batsman in Asia in 2024.
