Agree entirely.Leach is better than the average no10 at supporting the batsmen. Doesn't suit batting with an inept tailender at all.

Think we should retrospectively get that 1 wide that the umpire missed at the Basin Reserve last year if they're going to adjust runs after the fact...I'd be waiting until I got to 106 before raising my bat, just in case.
Not looking threatening with the ball though. Bowling far too straight.Leach is solid
If he bats no6 for his county (even if it is Leic) then he should aspire to be better than that. He should be capable of the mindset of a batsman, even if his game needs to improve. Then again there is just something about batting at the bottom of the order that seems to make people think like brainless tailenders. Sometimes it’s even worse for aspiring batsmen than people like Leach (see also Hoggard, Anderson etc) who know their place and are capable of developing a role via half decent defence etc.Agree entirely.
Great point. Suck it @Fuller PilchThink we should retrospectively get that 1 wide that the umpire missed at the Basin Reserve last year if they're going to adjust runs after the fact...
Not sure he's the best spinner for a turning track generally. But yeah, coms were saying earlier that the slower deliveries were gripping far more than the quicker ones here.Bashir seems to be a bit too quick through the air for this deck so far. Only bowled the two overs though.
Does raise a serious question though. What if the '6' was when there were 5 left to win and there was only 1 wicket left?Think we should retrospectively get that 1 wide that the umpire missed at the Basin Reserve last year if they're going to adjust runs after the fact...
I just don't think they should correct it once they've moved on to the next delivery.Does raise a serious question though. What if the '6' was when there were 5 left to win and there was only 1 wicket left?
They did check it though didn't they? Or was it a different one to the one I am thinking ofThen you’d presumably check it before you pulled the stumps out of the ground.
I thought he may have got outside the line there but it’s marginal
New Zealand to claim World Cup win in 2019 on basis that batsmen had crossed…🫣Does raise a serious question though. What if the '6' was when there were 5 left to win and there was only 1 wicket left?
Correct. Umpire didn't reverse his signal so it stands for me.I just don't think they should correct it once they've moved on to the next delivery.
I definitely gambhired too hard so that's my punishment. So anyway as I was saying, Bashir is going to be a handful on this deck.
