Cricinfo with the answerI've got the game on mute...has Smith lost two runs?
Yep, turns out 58.4 was a four. So it's two less to England's score - 248 for 8 now - and Smith innings is downgraded to 89!

I wondered the same. I presume leg byes were given instead during tea?I've got the game on mute...has Smith lost two runs?
apparently they found that an awarded 6 was short of the rope so changed to a 4. It means Smith scored 89 instead of 91. Oh, you got there first!Yet appears that way. Not sure what's happened there.
That doesn't feel right to me. They don't change non-given/referred lbws that were out to out after the factapparently they found that an awarded 6 was short of the rope so changed to a 4. It means Smith scored 89 instead of 91. Oh, you got there first!
Yeah, what if he was out for 101?That doesn't feel right to me. They don't change non-given/referred lbws that were out to out after the fact
They shouldn't be able to change it after the umpire has signalled. That doesn't feel right to me. They don't change non-given/referred lbws that were out to out after the fact
He is a better than average no10. Can defend decently and one or two decent shots, but not likely to string a long innings together and that's fine. You can't expect him too. It is more on the actual top 6 players who gave their wickets away too easy than him.Baldy is okayish at supporting batsmen but this isn't a situation for him batting with an 11.
If the umpire signalled six, it's sixYeah, what if he was out for 101?
I'd be waiting until I got to 106 before raising my bat, just in case.Yeah, what if he was out for 101?
I think it’s something which has been done before, and tbh provided they sort it before an innings change it seems ok to meThat doesn't feel right to me. They don't change non-given/referred lbws that were out to out after the fact
good job nobody asked you ****I think it’s something which has been done before, and tbh provided they sort it before an innings change it seems ok to me
Root and Duckett got good ones (Duckett's unplayable), the rest were poor.So how many wickets that fell were due to the pitch, and how many were due to poor batting/decision making.?
Couple to the pitch, others poor shots and some decent bowlingSo how many wickets that fell were due to the pitch, and how many were due to poor batting/decision making.?
So sounds just like normal Bazball batting then.Root and Duckett got good ones (Duckett's unplayable), the rest were poor.
Leach is better than the average no10 at supporting the batsmen. Doesn't suit batting with an inept tailender at all.He is a better than average no10.
