Not easy for me

India and Australia at the top, in that order until Australia proves otherwise in the BGT.

Then South Africa, England and Sri Lanka. Not sure how to rank those

then Bangladesh

then Pakistan and West Indies

then the others

thoughts?

So NZ is worse than Pakistan and the Windies?

Also considering South Africa on the same level as England? I hate England as much as anyone but that’s a ****ing joke

No NZ on same level as England, South Africa and Sri Lanka

England performance doesn’t justify a higher ranking than South Africa. 1-1 so far in Pakistan, lost a home test to Sri Lanka, got destroyed in India

Mate South Africa haven’t won a series against anyone but Windies and Bangladesh for 3 years. They have 1 decent batsman in the entire side. They’ve been crap since de Kock left.

The ICC rankings get forgotten a bit now with more interest in WTC standings, but the current rankings read:

1. Australia (124 rating points)
2. India (121)
3. England (108)
4. South Africa (104)
5. Sri Lanka (91)
6. New Zealand (89)
7. West Indies (77)
8. Pakistan (76)
9. Bangladesh (65)
10. Ireland (26)
11. Zimbabwe (4)
12. Afghanistan (0)

Prior to the 1st test vs NZ, India were no 1.

The recent Eng vs SL series held in ENG finished 2-1 and was relatively close and since then SL has blanked NZ 2-0 at home (which isn't that easy as shown by India). I think SL should be a bit higher and not in a league below ENG

Probably outside of the top two and bottom 3, the rest are perfectly up for debate (except WI we are complete trash atm) . Now if by some miracle NZ draw the series or even win in India (not going to happen) then all bets are off.

neither of them won a test in aus something a lot of teams above have failed for a long time
Honestly, that win in Australia was a complete fluke and won't happen again. Since then I've seen nothing to show the team has turned a corner (especially the comical batting) and could compete with the rest. I am happy though, to at least see Seales maturing into a potential class bowler.
