Date is obviously cherry picked to include Pakistan's best players in Imran and Miandad while ruling out most of the best England players they played against like Knott, Boycott and Underwood.

Any date would be cherry picking imo. Even if he included knott, boycs or Underwood, then some would say he intentionally left Hutton, Hammond, Sutcliffe or Hobbs out.

We should do best XIs since 18 April 1992 (SA's 1st test back with readmission), but it would rob India of Sachin, Pakistan of 2 Ws, the Windies of their entire ATG XI (but at least Chanderpaul could still be picked), and Australia (who'd obviously be the strongest team) would miss out on Warne by 3 months. SL could still pick Murali though.

Prior over Rizwan can't be a serious opinion. Rizwan is vastly superior with the gloves and at worst equal with the bat.
