I seriously can't get over this. We have lower order sloggers batting in two of the most important positions in T20 cricket (#1 and #3) and striking sub-100 in the powerplay, meanwhile we have a generational batting talent at #6 and basically wasted.

This has been seriously coming for a while. It's no surprise to me at all that team management's ****ery and overthinking has backfired in a big game.
I know I'm not supposed to like Aussies, but I love watching Litchfield bat. She just oozes class in everything she does and seems so confident around the older players too. She genuinely looks like she could be the next skipper and do the job for a decade. She seems annoyingly likeable!!

But yeah, we called out the Wareham thing before and it's cost them now. Losing Healy proved to be key, moving Litchfield to the top would've made more sense than Harris. Gardener didn't get to bat either who is surely of more use than Wareham or McGrath.

I do think the toss was probably key too, not like we haven't see teams batting 2nd in Dubai prosper before.....the women paying for the luck the men had maybe?

It's the Ultimate Feel Good Final whichever team wins.
Unless it was rugby, no one wants to see SA v NZ again!!

I didn't even notice that Gardner didn't even bat. Just bizarre stuff by the team management, they've really done this to themselves.

5:25pm Four out of six night games in Sharjah have been won by the team batting first. With this being a high-pressure match, will both captains be tempted to put up runs on the board?

Oh, right

In games such as these, having runs on the board is crucial, and for a team like the West Indies, it can easily become a psychological disadvantage. The intense pressure of pursuing a target in a knockout game cannot be overstated, even though the fact that a target was successfully chased down against England in the previous match is often overlooked.
