Yeah bro it's not genetics , it's about culture of hitting sixes, you have to create one first and that takes time ,investment, even communicating to domestic players we are looking for six hitting skills for national team and staying true to that, giving players flexibility to go abroad and experience different T20 leagues if domestic comp is lacking , proper coaching etc..

Also pitches, we have seen plenty of instances where BD produce rubbish pitches for six hitting when international sides tour there, 120 -125 is usually a winning score.

There are so many examples of T20 players around the world who are pocket rockets that can outhit any player. Guys like Asalanka, Rinku Singh, Travis Head, Nicholas Pooran none of these guys are 95-100 kg or 6ft+

They make **** pitches like mirpur where 100 is defendable and they are now talking about power hitting ganguly was also bengali used to hit some massive sixes sachin was shorter then most bd players still he could clear because of practice just as you said sanath and risabh pant are short but look how hard they hit its about culture and good pitches

Nic Pothas and co have been around for quite some time now. They have already overseen two world cups with this team with zero result. Time for these clowns to step down. At least he should be trying to inspire the guys with whatever hes saying not bringing some genetic bullshit. Chandika, Nic Pothas and fielding coach are a syndicate that got hired by ex bcb president papon and rumours that few directors and him were involved in commission business from the coaches salaries. So it was difficult to break the syndicate that time but I dont know how they are still around. I guess the new management thought of retaining them because of success in pakistan series but its a wrong decision. The sooner they are binned the better.
