The conception that the implication of a comparision between Kallis and Younis being disrespectful to Kallis, actually being conceptually disrespectul to Younis, being disrespectful to Kallis, actually being disrespectful to Younis is very disrespectful in actuality towards Kallis.
The train of thought to consider the conception of the implication of a comparison between Kallis and Younis being disrespectful to Kallis actually being disrespectful to Younis, in reality being deeply disrespectful to Kallis, to be super deeply disrespectful to Younis in actuality being very disrespectful to Kallis, is truthfully extremely disrespectful towards Younis.

Sorry, but that way classification of players is plain ass. ATG and making AT team shortlists are very subjective and unsound way of judging players. And Kallis won't be on the shortlist only as a batsman anyways.
It's plain ass because u don't agree with it.

Kallis is clearly and objectively a better batsman than Younis as the poll clearly shows.

You're making a top 15 list, one makes it, the other doesn't come close.

Don't know how much clearer it gets.

Alright then. Thank You. I finally got the result, Kallis and Ponting aren't close. Why you may ask? Only Kallis makes my Top 15!!!! No, on a serious note, thanks. I just needed something like this to dunk on Ponting.

Well he comfortably makes mine

Genuinely don't know what you have against Ponting.

Only guys who deserve that kind of grief are players like Chanders

He gets massively overrated for bullying plenty weak bowlers in a pretty flat era with pretty flat home pitches while playing for pretty strong batting line-up.

Can say the same about Bradman, he still the GOAT.

And the reason he isn't top 10 for me is due to the bolwers he faced compared to the others.

But if it were so easy to bully them, why couldn't Kallis. Why didn't Dravid?

I'm listening. Dravid and Kallis had pretty decent lineups around them as well.

But Ponting dominated like they couldn't (or wouldn't) and set the tone for said batting line up.

Had Ponting averaged 70, I would consider him 2nd to Bradman. He doesn't. A solid 51.

They very much did. Just look at the stats of Dravid and Kallis in the early 2000s and you will notice they very much scored almost as highly as Ponting. Ponting also had very 'modest' home conditions, and a better pair of openers.

Hayden and Langer at home was a big advantage. Sehwag and Smith were but one, and usually both teams carried a liability in the shape of an opener

Doesn't make up for 4 runs difference in average remotely. Might as well rate Sehwag over Smith, shall we? (Okay that one is actually close).

Not what I meant by bully.

He simply batted like they couldn't. Period.

No. Outside CW Younis is rated even lower.
Oh Yeah, outside CW Younis may get packed up by Cook
I think Younis is one of those players that will be rated a lot higher outside of CW in like 50 years(if test cricket is still alive). He pretty much has a record of an ATG and people will just look at statsguru for players they haven’t watched.

Younis was massively underappreciated during his time. But he's exactly the kind of player that might be rated a bit higher than he deserves in the future because checklist specialists will love him for his 50+ average in England/Australia which will make him look like an amazing player of swing/pace . When it's not really the case if you actually watched him. He was just incredibly good at cashing in on the 1-2 subcontinent like pitches he got every tour while being less successful in actually alien conditions.

Amazing player though, going to say kallis is better at almost everything to do with batting but not by too much.
