pollock was mcgrath level as a bowler for years before a slight decline at the end

but i will always vote for ashwin on polls

Very close. Pollock with a bit of the Ambrose conservatism towards the end: didn't pick up many big hauls but didn't give away many runs either. But a South African seamer with a home SR of 52 has to come a rung below an Indian spinner with a home SR of 45. Ashwin's away record the caveat as always, but I don't mind that so much vis-a-vis Pollock if he continues wreaking havoc at home this late into his career.

Pollock because his away record is better. However, Ashwin is also one of the biggest match winner in the game with 11 man of series.

Pollock was effective every where with bat and ball. Ashwin is effective in familiar conditions. A Gargantua compared to pollock.

This comp is especially interesting for me because I see Pollock as the Dravid of bowling, so, yeah Pollock here
