Eh with the Indian batting lineup as fragile as it has been could see them collapsing
I really hope Bangerz win this match. Try and bat out 2 sessions and give India a very risky but reachable carrot.
It's not a day 5 pitch that you can imagine India getting bowled out in 30 or so overs even chasing a 160 run target. Yesterday, players had to hit out or get out as they were going to declare soon. And there was no downside risk, India couldn't lose, so they had no fear of losing 1st innings wickets.

Chasing a target is a different matter, whole team won't all throw their wickets. A few might and then others will regroup. Worst case they will settle for a draw. They are not stupid to lose a test to Bangladesh 'in this manner'. There's also Ashwin and Jadeja batting down the order, collectively it's not that fragile a lineup at home.

Bangbros should honestly consider playing a more balanced line up of left handers and right handers. I would probably go -

Shadman
Joy
Shanto (c)
Mushfiqur
Mominul
Litton (wk)
Miraz
Taijul
Hasan
Nahid
3rd seamer/spinner
Yeah Miraz batting so well lately could definitely see Shakib dropped for Taijul when they want to play three quicks.

@indianfans, there are reports of Pandya making a comeback for the red ball format. Although highly unlikely, if hypothetically he returns for the bgt do you take him in the team for Jadeja, Rahul, somebody else or don't take him at all in the Xi?
I'd definitely pick him in Australia if he was fully fit, allows the balance for Jadeja and Ashwin to both play with a stacked deep batting lineup.

Before India's innings began, I expected India to bat at least 50 overs till stumps at 6 rpo and either declare overnight or after an hour on day 5.

But never imagined they could go at 8-9 per over and make Bangladesh bat again for an hour. It leaves Bangladesh in a very tough position where they have to bat out another 70 overs to save the match.

This was the India a decade ago-

Needing 180 runs off 47 overs in West Indies but deciding to play for a draw from the onset. India ended up with 94/3 from 32 overs with Dravid unbeaten. India shook hands, satisfied with 1-0 series victory.

How much has changed since then

And it’s the kid with the 172 SR! Jesus.
Remember Mohammad Amir touring England at the reported age of 15 and dominating but this is ridiculous.

"While Suryavanshi’s official age is listed at 13 currently, there remains some confusion over it. In an interview in 2023, the left-hander who plays for Bihar said he would turn 14 on September 27 last year, which would now make him a 15-year-old. However, the BCCI enlists him as a 13-year-old with his birthday on March 27, 2011. According to ESPNcricinfo, the Bihar Cricket Association has the same birth date listed for him."

Official record says 27 March 2011 but it's probably 27 September 2009.

Exactly 1.5 years underreported

Whatever it takes!!!
Shanto has easily looked the best of the BD batsmen but its good to see Shadman being positive and decisive with his footwork and shot selection. He is not half assing anything out there and sometimes that is the difference between success and failure at this level, esp. in the SC.
