Obviously you have to ask questions about the batting to lose 7-75 but it’s been highly impressive from Oz to turn it around.
Would be more concerning that this has happened twice now - top order bats like gods against pace and some loose spin early, but once the spinners tighten up then even the part timers seem to get a lot of joy

Bringing back Starc a real mistake IMO. The spinners were doing all the damage, just let them bowl

I think as well it shows that if Buttler, Root and Stokes are all available for the full strength side, there’s only really Duckett and Brook that don’t consider making way.

Cooper Connolly reminds me of a young David Hookes, hopefully he doesn't suffer the same tragic fate as poor old Hookesy.

Funny old game, after 25 overs 350 would have felt like a disappointment, but after 40 I’d have bitten your hand off for 300. Good this from Rashid

This is an awful post
Why is that an awful post? I said I hope that he doesn't suffer the same fate as Hookes,, it would have been awful if I said that I hope that he does.

David Hookes was one of my favourite Aussie batsmen back in the 80s along with Allan Border. comparing Cooper Connolly to him was a compliment.
