NZ Domestic Selector 24/25

Athlai

Better get this one moving so we can battle it out once again for the coveted NZ Domestic Selector Shield.

Housekeeping
  1. All NZ FC, NZ official tour games and NZ Test matches in the 24/25 season will be counted (I believe it's just NZ vs India and NZ vs Eng)
  2. We will be using the scoring system from CW Fantasy cricket (Test matches) - same as last year
  3. Each selector will pick 15 players, however only your top 11 players scores will count towards your team's total (this is to cover injuries and dud selections)
  4. Only 5 players bowling scores will be counted toward your 11, and only 1 wicketkeeper
  5. Picking around an XI that could actually theoretically play a game is encouraged (an actual keeper, 3-4 genuine bowlers, a couple allrounders, 2 openers etc)
  6. If you have a player who plays a Test you get 25 bonus points for any particular game. (increased from 10)
  7. The player does not need to be contracted by any team, but obviously it would be sensible to pick players that will play
  8. This is a fantasy draft for domestic cricket, so don't be weird about it.

(... crawling out from a under rock ...) I will be in if a spare space. Have been AWOL for a while, motorbike accident resulted in brain injury which meant my on-line activity needed to stop for a while ... didn't watch any live cricket last summer ...

- edit - but close to normal now ... was back to full time work 12 months after injury, but remembering names and faces still tricky and fatigued when I get to a Friday ... looking forward to following some cricket this summer

How soon shall we start selections? Plunket Shield delayed start this season to 11th Nov (Ford Trophy 50 over brought forward, starts 20th Oct), but is already Oct ...
