The amount of Gambhiring earlier in this thread. Like, India's got Jadeja and Ashwin to bat, and Bangladesh's batting isn't the most robust.
144/6 is pretty bad.Yeah 3-34 was never really a deep hole. It was a hole but nothing to panic about.
Top 3 is bit of a stretch, both are certainly in the top 10 with a good case for top 5 maybe. Both Ashwin and Jadeja have to go down as the Top 3 greatest cricketers India has ever produced. They are unreal.
With two guys who can score well still in, and considering the opposition, there are worse times to be 6/144.144/6 is pretty bad.

Depends on what you rate higher and I assume were just talking in test matches.Top 3 is bit of a stretch, both are certainly in the top 10 with a good case for top 5 maybe.
lol not sure if this is trolling. Having your last line of defense activated with 144 on the board isn't an ideal situation. With two guys who can score well still in, and considering the opposition, there are worse times to be 6/144.
Hardly a stretch, in Indian conditions especially. They contribute and contribute handsomely in all aspects across the span of a game...well, Ashwin not so much as a fielder but still. Just on instinct alone I'd bet they've won India more Tests off their own backs than anyone else.Top 3 is bit of a stretch, both are certainly in the top 10 with a good case for top 5 maybe.
Would you rather have a six down = all out line up like nineties England? I was fully expecting a rescue effort from one of these two.lol not sure if this is trolling. Having your last line of defense activated with 144 on the board isn't an ideal situation.
One wicket there would bring in a guy who's has one fc 50 to his name . 144/6 is a dreadful position. Just because these two are experts at pulling rescue acts from deep holes doesn't make the hole not deep. You hear? With two guys who can score well still in, and considering the opposition, there are worse times to be 6/144.
Doesn't matter. India's playing a team who recently were 6/26. Shows bigger hole-dig-outing is possible, but importantly the opposition's frail. Unless India actually did get bowled out for under 150, I'd rather be India, because they're better and I'd put them as being capable of turning the game around. Hence I thought the doom and gloom was overblown. One wicket there would bring in a guy who's has one fc 50 to his name . 144/6 is a dreadful position. Or India were playing a team that is fresh from blanking Pakistan 2-0 in their own den. You want to downplay the so-called doom and gloom by singling out a passage of play from the previous series against Pakistan but ignore the actual result they produced in that same series. Very dishonest.India's playing a team who recently were 6/26.
Nope. India aren't Pakistan, who don't even mentally turn up. Ironically you're the one singling out a passage of play. I only regret not posting my thoughts at tea rather than waiting till now. Never thought Bangladesh had the class to finish things properly.Or India were playing a team that is fresh from blanking Pakistan 2-0 in their own den. If you have watched the first two sessions fully, you would have known how good the bowling was. No less than what you consider as good oppositionWith two guys who can score well still in, and considering the opposition, there are worse times to be 6/144.
It's such a moot debate tbh. I'd rather be 144/4. Rearguards aren't an entitlement; by their very nature they are judged as such after they happen but until they actually do, suspending optimism is the only thing any invested fan can do.Would you rather have a six down = all out line up like nineties England? Yes, accurate seamers from Hasan and some pacy stuff from Nahid. I was however surprised by the lack of control from spinners. Nevertheless, this BD team is probably better than a few non subcontinental sides when it comes possessing ''class'' to beat India in India. If you have watched the first two sessions fully, you would have known how good the bowling was.
