Australia.
In SA:

Kohli (best imo), Tendulkar (the only one close), Hobbs, Waugh, Ponting.

Edit: on the first comment I thought I wrote Australia, but seems I did SA. Anyways, Kohli I believe is the best tourist in SA, Tendulkar being the only one close with an honourable mention to Hobbs.

Pretty much agree then except that I'd have Lloyd over ABD in Australia and Sachin over Kohli in SA, although the latter is maybe just a personal bias because of the 2010-11 tour. The best I've ever seen anyone bat against prime Steyn, the best bowler of our generation, and that too in SA.

Kohli's most impressive performances have come in SA. His average of 49-50 there is astonishing considering bowling attacks and conditions faced.

Lloyd - ABD is close. On Tendulkar - Kohli, I think Sachin had the better series while Kohli is more consistent. Sachin relatively struggled in South Africa early on vs Donald and Pollock; Kohli on the other hand did good even when in absolute dumpster. Not much between them, but will take consistency over one great series.

Kohli has definitely been more consistent. Sachin has 5 hundreds though to Kohli's 2 though, hence great innings bar that series too.
Anyways, it's a shame we haven't ever won in SA considering we have the 2 best touring bats there
