Hopefullly Nz gets to bat 2mrw, and Williamson get another 100 to make his haters salty.
This match is important as its getting us ready for Sri Lanka and India. where do we tour first?

Yes indeed making those haters salty is always a good idea.

Apprehantly acb were given 3 venues banglore kanpur and noida to chose from but they chose noida as it is closer to delhi which is closer to kabul so acb are as much to blame as bcci are

The best I can say in their defence is I highly doubt they were aware of how much a shithole this ground is.

Can they reshcedule the Test until a few days? cos the isnt part of the championship, it should be easier to push back the start date? cant they use common sense and just re start the Test 2mrw?
NZ's 1st test in Sri Lanka starts on Wednesday 18 September in Galle.

@SteveNZ must be having nightmares over the lack of cricket. I know you're an early riser mate but yikes to 4.00am
 My watch was dead and I couldn't find my phone, had no idea what the time was. Was asleep by 8pm, filthy at still having not watched a ball of cricket since June 12! Surely the longest I've gone in my life.

But yeah, that's twice in two campaigns where New Zealand's preparation has been significantly affected for international cricket - apparently the pinnacle of our sport - for truly avoidable reasons. Firstly, whether you believe it was our fault or that of the ICC in cow-towing to the IPL so close to their flagship T20 event, we started the T20 World Cup without any warm-ups. Now, we're coming off 3 months without cricket, and we get to rock up to a venue in India where the drainage is akin to your town swamp.

Someone is asleep at the wheel in all this, in a situation where we're told international cricket is the car heading towards the cliff.

It says town swamp I don't know what you're talking about?

It's been well documented that I've been up since 4am, and am starved of expected cricket entertainment. Please bear with me at this tough time.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
It's a token test for two countries the ICC won't really take that seriously and whose fans aren't worth enough to cater to

Does seem strange when India have so many cricket grounds that they would schedule a Test here at a ground that appears not up to international standard.
I think the standard thought process from the BCCI is $$$$$$$$$$$$
Who rescheduled to this venue?? BCCI I believe as certainly ACB didn't have enough control here.
.

Afghanistan cricket board specifically chose this venue, because AFG had played international cricket here before and it was the "cheapest" option logistically and the cheapest venue to rent out for ACB.

The UP Cricket Association should have provided better drainage facilities though.

The ground is not under UPCA; FFS check the links I posted, nor does BCCI use it. It's like y'all really think BCCI needed to sabotage the NZ team to win a series 3-nil :glare:

A ground where they played all their games?

Just to be clear, I would blame the weather first, then everything else. ACB probably being cheapskates didn't help either!

Not much when it showered I believe. You can put it anyway you want, this ground is not fit to host any international cricket.
