Duckett probably leading right now. Pope next, but has the highest ceiling. Crawley with plenty to do to close the gap.

Pope and Duckett both don't have a series against a quality attack that compares to Crawley's 2023 ashes and he also scored consistently on the India tour so I gave it to him. I don't think he will ever be a run machine though. An "on his day" type player. Pope has shown a penchant to score daddy hundreds in FC which is part of why England are very invested in him but he himself has technique problems and gets too easily mentally flustered.

Pope did have a pretty good series in SA against Rabada, Nortje, Philander, Maharaj

Also a pretty good series against SA in Eng

SA's bowling wasn't that strong after the first test of that series which he missed. Agree that the series at home to SA is among his best.
