Lead is now 150 , there is so much time left in the game there's no point thinking what's a good score to set ..Just have to bat time and wear down the pitch
I think those days are gone bro , your coach is holding back your players with this old school style that doesn't suit your players strengths, they just aren't good enough to bat like Kallis and Kirsten used to

South Africa must have had 70 in the first 15 overs. Past 30 overs they've scored 60 odd losing 4 wickets. May struggle to even get a lead of 200.

Well deserved wicket. Bowled a probing line and length. Don't think #3 is Stubbs's calling
Considering it is nearly the 50th over against an old ball, being loose at 3 outside off or being loose at 5 outside off would have still had the same results here.

Look at Stubbs for example , this guy is a feared hitter yet he's trying to turn himself into Roshan Mahanama in Test cricket, is it a coincidence that his highest score came when he was given license to play his natural game in the second innings of the 1st Test vs West Indies ?

I think not, it's the same thing that caused Klaasen to fail at Test cricket too, you guys need to lift the handbrake on your players or they will never be a success

Nah it's not the coaches fault , the players need to take responsibility for their careers , I do think we can be a bit more proactive though but that will come with experience for most of these guys who don't have a lot of Test caps ..

Consistently getting out chasing it outside off does show he's too loose for #3 though.

I will say this ..I'm disappointed in Bedingham, he is clearly our best batsman talent wise and he should never have a test series where he doesn't go past 50 , he's been careless in all 3 dismissals
Yup. Been so many bad ones.

TdZ not getting in line with the ball & knowing where his off stump is.

Stubbs soft nothing shot wide outside off.

Story of our test batting currently. When the chips are against them they struggle to absorb pressure like our batsman were capable of doing when we were at the top in our first 22 years back or so.

Not a lot of runs so far but these two have been proactive. Door may be shut on the Windies if they don't get another one tonight.

Why he's always trying to abuse the South African keeper ? I noticed he tries to abuse him at every chance I wonder what started it
Did he now?

I was talking about him as a bowler…a fast bowler at that…feisty is in their character, especially a youngster just finishing adolescence.
