***Official*** India in Sri Lanka - 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs - July-Aug 2024

Whatever it takes!!!
Sri Lankan spinners and batters have played far better than us in conditions that have helped them (winning all 3 tosses is huge here). India have also tried to experiment in this series and I am kinda OK with that tbh. I always felt we dont try enough players and strategies in the JAMODIs which always costs us in the pressure games in the ICC tournaments.

I dont think we will play in such conditions in any of the 50 overs tournaments coming up but I do like that we are trying some things here. The real issue is that we upgraded Gill to vice-captain and he seems to be the weakest link in the batting line-up along with Shreyas Iyer. Pant has not played an ODI in ages and I think he should have played all 3 and we really should have tried to open the bowling with spin almost every game. Some of these tactical issues are more annoying than the actual results. Sri Lanka are just more match ready and hungry and that has been the difference so far.

Gutless from India batsmen. No way a team containing all these celebs should be losing while chasing sub-250 totals, especially considering the starts they've been getting. Well done to SL, a real throwback to their glory days of twenty years ago when they'd boss us around as often as not, skittling us out for embarrassing totals.
