How will you be celebrating this day? Maybe you'll have a little moan, or a whinge, or perhaps a full scale investigation into corruption within the International Umpire community?

But please my Australian friends, don't take your dogs for a walk, you're really not very good at holding on to leads!!

I'm pretty sure the ashes are still at Lords. But the ashes trophy is the most pathetic i've ever seen.
They shoud get a proper sized urn burn the bails and stumps [remove all the electric gismos first]
in the last test of the next series and let the winner keep it til the next time. of course that wood mean
that it stayed in oz or melbourne probably 90% of the time but it would look so much better than
holding up that silly little replica eggcup thing.

This is the post of someone who knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

They could play for a cup of hot fat with a hair in it and it would still be more significant than any other trophy the countries play for across the sport, because of the history attached to it.

Mainly thanks to the rain in Manchester. I was kind of hoping I could celebrate it watching Day 5 of the Test with the Windies, but we wrapped up the clean sweep in 3 days. How did you go against the Caribbean rabble?

The tide is turning, we can all see it.....

lol we hear this shite every four years form the blow hard brigade. The "tide turning" for your lot will be winning a single test here and the players writing a dozen articles on how they've changed test cricket by losing 4-1 instead of 5-0. Have a breather.

You're probably right, but I do feel like we're starting to put together a youngish fast bowling squad that might just be suited to Aussie pitches (notably Atkinson). Add to that the fact the Aussie bowlers are not exactly fresh faced kids (and I'm not sure who the obvious next in line are either), 2 elderly openers as well.

Anyway, India first for both teams.

You don't get it do you? They've changed test cricket by saying they've changed test cricket. Winning and losing is for losers. You're way behind.

I like the look of Atkinson. My only worry re him out here is his trajectory seems a bit skiddy, which doesn’t always bode well in our conditions. Certainly a good prospect though.
