His problem was he wasn't lying to the world. If he'd come out and denied everything like every other ball tamperer ever has done he'd have been fine. Probably missed a game at most. Instead he tried to come out and tell the truth (not the exact truth but close enough) and even took on more blame than he really deserved if anything.

As far as 'Absurdly Awesome Cricket Stats" go, doing it the first time after 147 years is not as awesome as Australia scoring 400+ in each innings 6 times, 3 of those against England

Because he's just an average bowler. Can tear through sides when conditions suit and he is in good rhythm, but up against a decent batting lineup I feel as though he'll get hammered. Definitely not sub-25 material. Probably 27 or 28.
