Only surprises I have is that O'Reilly is rated above Chappell and Ponting and that Lindwall (and O'Reilly) are rated above Border and Waugh

Border and Lindwall actually had equal points and votes, so I ranked Lindwall higher as I voted for Border to be higher.

The Woodcock and Martin-Jenkins Top 100s were accused of being Anglo-centric. However, Woodcock included 5 New Zealanders to CW's 3. And CMJ had more Pakistanis and double the number of Sri Lankans compared with CW.

Players who appeared in both the Woodcock and CMJ lists but didn't receive a single vote from CW posters: Armstrong, Jack Gregory, Ponsford, Mankad, Bedi, Constantine, Jessop. Constantine also received a vote in Wisden's Cricketers of the 20th Century.

Just 5 pakistani players is surprising. Haq, Fazal and Akhtar are notable omissions.

Imo, that also has things to do with when the lists were made. Like Woodcock's one was made in '97; and a significant number of new players have came since and also a handful made their standings stronger.

The fact that there are more English than Australians speaks to the flaws in this analysis

there also statistically should be more South Asians esp Pakistanis
