Hobbs, even tho I am beginning to rate Kallis more objectively than I did before(that is like a top 17-18 bat, plus his bowling for the first third of his career. So he could end up in my top 12 players, Hobbs in the top 6-8)

Nah thats ridiculous frankly. He would possibly be if he were unquestionably the best bat of his era on top of his bowling and catching, but he ain't close.
Wait, was Imran the best bowler of his era?

Becuse this argument is incredibly inconsistent.

I would say Imran was much closer to Hadlee than Kallis to Lara(Marshall and Sachin the best of their eras, but even there).
You do know the statement was he wasn't the undisputed best bat of his era.

Kallis was 4th, I don't see how that's different...

Imran in the 70's was well behind a host of players, 80's 3rd, and one could make an argument for others.

Sot get me wrong, not being elite in their primary disciplines makes either of them invalid for no. 3 in my rankings, but if one is valid for you, why isn't the other?

It’s simple for me. I rate Kallis amongst the top 15-16 bats, and Imran amongst the top 5-6 bowlers. Further I value Imran’s batting over Kallis’ bowling. But then I agree we agreed to disagree about Immy long time back(during the Ambrose comparisons).

Imran isn't a confirmed no.3 of all-time for me. Top 5 yes.

Kallis doesn't get in my top 10. His bowling is overrated and I don't rate his batting as high as you all.
