The guy made 50 in his first ever test innings against Starc-Cummins-Hazelwood-Lyon-Green. He's a class above a 31 YO who's averages sub 30 in FC and is coming off a subpar 4 day competition.

I agree with you. If we had any spine, we'd play him as a pure batsman in the middle-order. But it seems as though the management have different plans for him.
