The discussion shouldn't be about motie vs sinclair as bowlers, no? Sinclair is the best red ball bat in the carribean right now, he should be playing over hodge.

Hodge in the recent 4 day comp:334 runs @37
Sinclair: 508 runs @63

Hodge vs Australia:115 @29
Sinclair: 64 @64
To this team, Sinclair is considered a bowling all-rounder. To Guyana Harpy Eagles' he was a batting all-rounder. That's the difference. He was batting higher up in the latter than the former.

Isn't it kind of dumb that he's been viewed as a bowling allrounder at test level when he's clearly better than that? The guy made 50 in his first ever test innings against Starc-Cummins-Hazelwood-Lyon-Green. He's a class above a 31 YO who's averages sub 30 in FC and is coming off a subpar 4 day competition.

I agree with you. If we had any spine, we'd play him as a pure batsman in the middle-order. But it seems as though the management have different plans for him.

There looked to be some promise from the top of the Windies order but they couldn't kick on. Thought the middle order was utterly rubbish. Can't say I was surprised to see Holder and Da Silva fail where they did. Like the look of the Windies bowling lineup but they are not defending enough.
