I still really don't buy into this Talagi hype. I don't think he's scored many tries that a winger wouldn't score, and he really seems to lack effort at times. And his defence is rubbish.

Yeah I don’t disagree. I expect he’ll end up an NRL standard player long term, but if he’s the brightest part of the future, then it’s pretty dim.

Moses excellent again tonight though. Man, the way performing at Origin just leads to guys’ confidence and belief going to another level is extraordinary.
Our forwards all just look too immobile and pretty old though. Even Paulo just looks pedestrian nowadays

It's now blatantly obvious that both Chanel Harris-Tavita and Te Maire Martin are leaps and bounds ahead of SJ
He was brilliant last year but that was a long time ago. It's been a treat watching SJ over such a long career especially when he had that blistering
pace in the early days, but hopefully he pulls the pin next year.

I think the brain and talent is still there, but mind and body need a long rest. He's been getting pulled into bullshit responding to haters etc and I think he needs this injury break for himself as much as the achilles.

And from a combo pov he and TMM don't gel like he and Metcalfe did. TMM and Chanel seem much more fluid. TMM is a pretty mid last tackle kicker but even that showed big improvement last night.

Charlie Guymer in 25 minutes on dayboo massively showing up a roster with five Origin forwards in it tells you everythign about where Parra is atm. Woeful the tackles they miss up the guts. Need a clean out - Lane, Materson, Paulo should all go. Never thought at the start of the year Joffa would be our best front rower.

Upside is Cronulla going like **** mid-season and saving everyone the trouble of even contemplating they are ever a contender this year. as opposed to others when they flop in September.
