The Wheel is Forever
What is your opinion?
To whom? India barely won that many overseas Tests until recently.Needs a few more years at peak/close to peak performance and a fair bit more in the Test arena then he'll be close.
The fact that he's literally India's only truly ATG quality bowler in their entire history means that he has to be in the argument atleast even without the longevity. If we'd produced a Hadlee or a Mcgrath then obviously noJeez
To guys who had international careers that were at least twice as long and in Tendulkars case 3 times as long. And the thread is about the player, not what the Indian team achieved in Tests. To whom? India barely won that many overseas Tests until recently.
Yeah gatekeeping the format that requires the most cricketing skills, talent, temperament and IQ is weird.gatekeeping with tests is weird, modern players dont really play as many tests if they are multiformat players and Bumrah has the 2nd highest no of tests for an Indian pacer since his debut, you aint going to get any new faces if the gatekeeping greatness with tests continues
but this forum would love that since it means we can have the nth comparison debate between 2 80s and 90s cricketer
In the 90s he did.Don't think even Sachin ever had the aura of inevitability that Bumrah has about him atm.
Bumrah's away contributions plus this T20 triumph matter more to Indian legacy than Ashwin. No , it is between Tendulkar and Ashwin.
Yes , I know Ashwin has flaws in his record but I dare say he has won India more matches than Murali won for SL ( Obvious because of playing for stronger Team ) . So many Man of the series in Tests
He's smarter and less ****y version of Ashwin.Jansen put up the wall of defense and it still went through like quantum tunneling. Dude is insane.
