Examples of poor cricketing etiquette

As is often the case, Charles Davis wrote an article about the stump-grab at the end of a Test - sportstats.com.au/blogArchive2020.html , the article dated 20 September is called "The Old Stump Scramble"... it seems to have begun some time in the 20s, but was evidently getting out of hand by the early 50s and both the MCC and ABC called a halt to it.

Very interesting

Thanks for sharing

Seems Botham was aware of the old tradition then.

Bearing in mind players were literally rolling around on the floor fighting, and wrenching stumps out of the umpires' hands, it seems astonishing that action wasn't taken sooner!

Best example of souvenier grabbing is Gubby Allen in the final test of the 1934 Ashes. Nice, wild, terrible shot to end the match, and it's not quite one motion but he was onto it pretty quickly.

When Maxwell missed that final ball in the final T20 6-7 years ago in Aus which in turn the Sri Lankan bowler ran past and screamed at him.
