Happy "Australia are getting knocked out" Day

chris.hinton

24th June is the date and Monday is the day that the old over-the-hill Australia will finally get knocked out after being 2nd best to India

For all the rubbish their fans was speaking at the start of the Tournaments, it's going to be a rather limp end to the campaign when India do beat them with a good deal of ease

What excuses will the Aussies come out with

"Its Raining"

"We was too focused on England"

"The decisions went against us"

It's almost in India's interest to throw this. Who would they rather face in the semis? Perennial chokers or the Champs who dicked them last time?

I think here too - even if they lose to India, they'll still go through if Bang beat the Afghans.
That will probably happen - it always does for the Aussies.

Yes they've had some great sides but they're a seriously spawny side as well.

Come on India.

Tell that to the Russians.

Same start time in Vladivostok as Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane - 12:30am tomorrow. Same in PNG, but midnight in Adelaide and still the 24th in Perth.

It will be 2:30am NZ - tomorrow (except the Chatman Islands which are 45 mins ahead of the rest of the country).

Don't ask India to stoop to that level, remember the power of moral victories good sir !

It really isn't, anything less than an Indian World Cup win is a failure in the eyes of their people.

England in a semi final or England in a final,it doesn't change the objective.

The thing is, we still have no real idea how good this India side is. Yes, they've beaten Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, but I'm not sure that tells us that much. The game with the Aussies will, and it will be most similar to a semi with England too.

It's also in Ind's interest to throw Aus out, a potential finals candidate as well as the team which beat them in the odi wc final.
