Not if USA beat EnglandIf West Indies beat South Africa in the next game, South Africa will get knocked out of the tournament on NRR!

Not a chanceNot if USA beat England
Would be hilarious though, England knocked out of the World Cup by USANot a chance
Win against England wasn't entirely meaningless. If they had lost they would have had to win again WI by a big margin to overtake WIs NRR whereas now just a win is enough to progressWI's big win today makes South Africa's win over England absolutely meaningless!
Even if SA had lost to Eng today, their qualification scenario would be no different than what it is now, which is they MUST beat West Indies.
So I think South Africa really screwed up vs USA (winning by such a small margin). That match alone has turned their game vs WI a virtual QF!
NO, thats wrong. NRR doesn't come into it at all.Win against England wasn't entirely meaningless. If they had lost they would have had to win again WI by a big margin to overtake WIs NRR whereas now just a win is enough to progress
USA Vs England could be a wash outIf West Indies go on to beat South Africa in the next game, South Africa will get knocked out of the tournament on NRR!
Technically if the WI vs SA game was washed out and both were on 1 win each then SA would go through having won 2 games despite WI having better NRR so the win is not meaningless it protects Sa from a potential washout and also a potential washout between England vs USA.NO, thats wrong. NRR doesn't come into it at all.
West Indies are on 1 win. SA would have been on 1 win.
Winner would have moved on to 2 wins. SA winning would have knocked out WI. NRR irrelevant.
So I reiterate that South Africa's win over Engand has become absolutely meaningless!
Let's hope soUSA Vs England could be a wash out
Yes but realistically both matches will have a result.Technically if the WI vs SA game was washed out and both were on 1 win each then SA would go through having won 2 games despite WI having better NRR so the win is not meaningless it protects Sa from a potential washout and also a potential washout between England vs USA.
Had SA not beaten England, then England would be through as group winners even if their game vs USA was washed out.
Now if England get a wash out game vs USA and WI beat SA, then England are out instead of SA
Okay but everything SA do wrong cannot automatically be a choke , Baartman bowled brilliantly vs Nepal to win that game , today he slipped up in 1 over it can happen to anyone.I didn't really care about the result, I was just hoping for a close entertaining game and we got one.
I would be happy to see England, South Africa or anyone else win this World Cup other than Australia.
Personally I don't think England vs USA is a straightforward match , if the game is shortened due to rain that brings USA into it more.Yes but realistically both matches will have a result.
Weather looks good for WI v SA, though US v Eng may have the odd shower or two.
So realistically SA still need to beat WI to qualify. Their situation hasn't changed in all likelihood, realistically speaking.
Yes in a normal setting where there is no chance of a washout and England beat the USA as expected, we have to defeat the West Indies. Cricket is a funny game thoughYes but realistically both matches will have a result.

He had figures of 6-1 after 2 overs last night. Just somehow lost his radar, probably because of the pressure.Okay but everything SA do wrong cannot automatically be a choke , Baartman bowled brilliantly vs Nepal to win that game , today he slipped up in 1 over it can happen to anyone.
Yes there's a minute possibility.I'm not absolutely certain about this, but I think there's a scenario where the West Indies beat South Africa and England beat the USA but England are the team to miss out. If England win but it's a close game then their NRR will go down, making it possible for South Africa to lose but still have a higher NRR than England. It's unlikely as you'd expect England to have a big win against the USA, but it's not impossible.
Ping @poorlyagedthingsEngland playing possum in the group now pulling out the big guns.
