The greatest non-allrounder at their non-specialist discipline

Gilchrist > Dhoni
I think Dhoni is sufficiently overrated behind the stumps. Was borderline World Class but his unorthodoxy created some self imposed limitations and wasn't as good as some of his fans made him out to be. Behind the stumps, Saha was clearly a tier higher than him at least.

Gilchrist > Dhoni
Not on SC wickets against spin. since India play more in SC, Dhoni would be the better keeper. And BTW Bari, Latif, PJ all are better keepers than Gilchrist, and no way Gilly is going to replace any of them on keeping abilities alone.

Was he thigh, I watched most of if not all of his career, I don't see how he would be over rated.

Is it cheating to pick Watling? Equal with Jayawardene with the gloves and would've played tests as a specialist bat for the majority of sides in test cricket history (started as a specialist opener).

If Watling counts, might as well pick Pant....

I'm confused as to why the keeper needs to be able to bowl.
Thanks for the on topic comment.

Ummm......the wicket keeper needs to bowl, because....

the wicket keeper needs to bowl because....

we need 6 batsmen (who aren't batsmen) to be able to put something on the board.

that leaves 5 spaces.

none of the bowlers are very good, so we can't get away with a 4 man attack.

so the keeper needs to bowl.

whilst he is bowling someone else will need to keep wicket. he also needs to be able to bowl. so we need 2 keepers who can bowl.

also, we can't have a player who is in the side purely on the basis of him not being very good at wicket keeping.

In that case Glenn Phillips
