Dominating series perfomace against tough bowling attacks

It does however stand to reason that one person can't dominate a series if someone else does almost as good as them.
Younis Khan did not do almost as good as Yousuf though, so my point still stands. Plus, multiple players may dominate a series, domination is not about how many do it but how much better the batsman is than the bowlers, particularly good bowlers. So again, the point stands.

If multiple players are dominating the opposition, it kind of negates the "tough bowling attack" criteria.

In order(and restricting to one innings/bat): Lara 99 vs Aus, Amarnath 83 vs WI, Viv 79 vs Aus(probably the most importance performance in WI’s 15-16 year long domination, and he did despite having multiple niggles), Kohli 2018 in SA, Dravid Eng in 2011(very underrated attack, one of the best ever).

If were necroing this thread, Smith vs ENG in 2019 definitely deserves a shout. Was on a different level. Usman has had some good away series in the past 2 years opening, but nothing deserving of this thread.

Smith vs Eng is ATG no doubt(but more along the lines of Viv 1976), but the attack wasn’t that great(brilliant still) since Anderson only played one. I think for performances against great attacks in given conditions, I would say Smith 2017 vs India is more applicable

Ehh, jofra averaged 20 that series and was breathing fire, you take that ashes and the one year before and after for broad and he's got 100 wickets @22. Woakes didn't have a great series but was fine and leach took 12 wickets @26 that series. It's not as good as some of the other attacks here, but the attack was good and the conditions weren't very nice for batting throughout. Smith was also just way ahead of everyone else either side of the field, 350 runs clear of the next highest scorer despite missing 3 innings in the middle.

Yes that’s why I agreed it’s a great series and like Viv 1976 he was facing a very good attack and outscored most. Ab ATG series, but if I have to choose something from Smith vs a very high quality attack it is 2017 vs India

I consider Tendulkar 2007 in Aus to fit this bill.

Sanga's two back to back tons against Bond too.
The attack wasn’t that great(and the conditions not that batting averse, and his run scoring wasn’t out of this world). Sanga agreed was amazing against Bond
