How would you rank the greatest test teams of all-time?

I am calling it for Smith's SA which moves ahead to No.7 of all-time teams.

1. Lloyd's WI
2. Waugh's Aus
3. Invincibles
4. Hutton's England (mid-1950s)
5. Worrell's WI (Early 1960s)
6. Chappell's Australia (mid-1970s)
7. Smith's SA (Early 2010s)

We are selecting Test Team No.8 of the all-timers from the below options. Perhaps one of the SA or subcontinent teams?

Benaud's Australia (Late 1950s)
South Africa (late 60s)
Illingworth's England (Late 60s)
Imran's Pakistan (late 80s)
Cronje's SA (mid-late 90s)
Akram's Pakistan (mid-late 90s)
Vaughn's England (Mid-2000s)
Dhoni's India (late 2000s)
Strauss's England (Early 2010s)
Kohli's India (Late 2010s)
Williamson's NZ (Early 2020s)

In the modern era [70-now], there have been 3 truly great sides meaning they ruled the roost [almost] everywhere. The late 70s-mid 90s WI, mid 90s to mid 00's Australia and somewhat behind them SA in the late 00s to mid 10s.

I am in full agreement.

Might be the best post war as well, but it gets complicated.

The invincibles were one tour, as brilliant and undefeated as it was.
Hutton's teams were very defensive and were seen by some to be hurting the game a little.
Worrell's teams weren't exactly road warriors if I recall correctly, also have to verify how much did Hall and Griffith play under him.

International Vice-Captain
Worrell was only captain for 3 series, and they lost the first of those (2-1 in Aus 1960-1 - it's one of the great Test series, but it's not really a sign of a dominant team). West Indies did win their next 3 series after that (v Aus, in England, in India) so could certainly claim to be the world's best team in the mid 60s.

Hall played all 15 Tests with Worrell as captain (as did Hunte, Kanhai and Sobers, with Solomon and Gibbs only missing 1 or 2 games). Griffith only played 5 of them (the 1963 series in England).
