Could be mistaken for thinking that they’re trying to make the broadcast as bad as possible
That's US golf. Showed one of the early leaders Logan MacAllister duck hook one deep into the bad stuff right up against the course boundary, didn't see him again, had to look up what he shot no the website. Decided to show us Justin Thomas missing another short putt instead.

Koepka looking imperious again. He's so bloody good. A weekend shoot-out between him, Scottie and Bryson would be fun. Tiger struggling after a decent start too, never seen him miss so many iron shots way right. Driving it nicely, iron play's been shocking.

Haha. There's literally 4 players max who can compete in Majors from LIV.
Not sure I agree with that. Koepka, Bryson, Rahm, Cam Smith, Niemann, DJ, Tyrrell, Reed (Not missed a major cut since 2021), Oosthuizen and Ancer all have the game to compete in Majors. I'd also chuck Meronk, Gooch and Pieters into that group too, all 3 of those have more than enough game to compete in big events.

And yet it's already looking like it'll be Bryson and Koepka representing LIV again. Hatton may hang around as I think this course will suit him, but he's not going to win it. DJ is a weak imitation of his former self.

Meronk, Gooch and Pieters are miles from being Major contenders, Oosthuizen can't be bothered with them anymore whist Reed and Niemann failed to qualify.

I watched much of Rory's round. It's funny to think only 15 broke par because he made it look effortless. Really only found trouble a couple of times but missed the greens in the right places for fairly straightforward scrambles. The last 3 times he went bogey free in the opening round of a Major he won them....got a feeling Scheffler will come back hard today, never seen him so wayward off the tee. Bryson and Aberg look big threats, but be surprised if Cantlay stays the course, although he maybe spurred on by his buddy Xander winning the PGA.

An intriguing leaderboard.

Some pin positions are really daft today. Rory's just chipped in for par on the par 3 17th, his second shot was a putt!!

Yeah looks like Scheffler’s top 10 streak is coming to an end this weekend, possibly his made cut streak as well…😱

If he gets no worse than +3 then he'll be easily inside the cut line. He just can't make a putt today. Got a feeling it's only going to get harder (could be really tough for the afternoon guys today for starters) and I could easily see him coming through the field for a Top 10. Anything under par by Sunday will probably be Top 5.

He will need help from the afternoon groups to make the weekend. Last year's putting horrors seem to have returned at least for this week...

Scheffler (and Koepka) on the cut line, should just about sneak into the weekend...Aberg with his first 36 hole lead in a major. LIV is likely throwing all kinds of lures at him already...

Whoever wins this is likely to have had a bucketload of luck as the difference between a great shot or good lie is often a matter of inches

Interesting course though

Just a shame that the camera work is so bad as it’s supposed to be a beautiful place but you wouldn’t know it from the coverage

Personally I don't get why they show everyone of his shots when his not in contention but regarding his performance is he really doing that much worse than the like of Mickelson or even dj
