Match #6- England vs Scotland - June 4th - Kensington Oval, Barbados-- Group B

Bizarre stat, England yet to beat a European nation at a T20 World Cup in 4 attempts. Although, after two of those they went on to lift the trophy.

Looks like Jordan is now above Curran in the pecking order and Topley likely to play ahead of Wood. You'd think they'd have far too much firepower for the Scots, but stranger things have happened.....

Curran must be wondering why isn't he the first name on the team sheet after being captain of the PBKS. Not even vice captain in the England team. Bayliss must like him more than Mott.

Not to mention being Player of the Tournament in the last World Cup.

Are Livingstone and Ali in the team for their bowling? Or what they might do with the bat? Ali more likely because he is vice captain.

Curran HS in IPL 63* Livingstone 38*

Curran 16 wickets and Livingstone 3 (which was only 1 more than Jacks).

If this was another sporting code it would be an easy win for the Scots over the Dodgers. But alas it is not :)

I've thought for years that Curran should be central to our T20I team and after the last WC you'd think he'd be a lock.

Didn't follow the IPL though so no idea what kinda form he's in right now. Leadership seems to love Mo/Livingstone at 6 & 7 and I guess they fancy Jordan's bowling in these conditions over Curran?

Jordan, Archer, Wood, Rashid, Moeen and Livingstone the bowling attack for England, so no Topley. Batting line-up as expected.

We often start these tournaments slowly, even when we've gone in to win them.

So no messing about today. Playing Scotland is always a potential banana skin but we need to hit them hard and hit them early and get the job done.

It often rains in England during June. Barbados, being the closest West Indian Island to England, explains their inclusion of Archer and Jordan in their cricket team.

:naughty: :naughty:

Holy moly Archer is back!?

Great news for sure because I'd given up hope of ever seeing him play any international cricket again.

Anyway lets see how long it lasts before getting too excited because I don't trust him to stay fit tbh.
