Match #4- Sri Lanka vs South Africa (D)- June 3rd, New York— Group D

Sri Lanka win the toss and bat:
Sa have gone with 5 bowlers and 6 batsmen, maharaj the only spinner and coetze sitting out aswell.
Sri lanka have hasaranga at 8, interesting to see how he uses himself as a batsmen given he batted 4/5 vs AFG last time he played a t20I.

Silver Silva

International Regular
Interesting that South Africa have decided to omit Tabraiz Shamsi who has a bowling average of 13 vs SL .

We can definitely win this , let's go 🇱🇰

Time for S Africa to step up to the plate.

Their side is so strong and they need to get a world title under their belts.

SL are always a test but SA need to despatch them like a title winning team should.

lol funny seeing American "cops" in full regalia at a game of cricket. Not sure it's a sight I'll ever grow to love.

Some teams secure victory during the powerplay. The absence of boundaries from Sri Lanka is noticeable. Hopefully, they can gain the momentum to advance.

Early days but doesn't look like we'll be seeing too many 200+ totals in this WC.
England scored some big 220+ scores in the carribean 6 months ago didn't they? This game is in the USA and from what i've heard decks over there are usually pretty bowler friendly, when we move to the full carribean leg we should see a few more big scores.

The big scores are going to come in Trinidad and perhaps Antigua. Barbados gave us a glimpse of how it'll be last night.
