Had Australia dropped him for the Final.....Marcus stoinis in ODI cricket. Farmed an 8 year career off of 1 innings and t20I performances.
Yeah he was useless.Younis Khan was a dreadful ODI player who somehow managed to get selected 250+ games through sheer clout.
What final?Had Australia dropped him for the Final.....
I was going to disagree with this until I realized he played all the way till 2010. That's about 4 years past his 'peak'.Danish Kaneria was quite mediocre for the volume of cricket he played as well
There are probably quite a few openers that fit the bill between the 90s and now. Yasir Hameed springs to mind as well though I probably had a soft spot for him over the others.Imran Nazir also.
Who else did they have? Ajmal's actually three years older than Kaneria - seems he didn't develop his "skills" until quite late. Rehman was the other one around at the time, same age as Kaneria. Seems they simply didn't have alternatives.I was going to disagree with this until I realized he played all the way till 2010. That's about 4 years past his 'peak'.
I had high hopes for Nasir Jamshed. Imran Farhat was woeful too. There are probably quite a few openers that fit the bill between the 90s and now. Yasir Hameed springs to mind as well though I probably had a soft spot for him over the others.
Consider it lucky to make 2nd XIHow was he a "bad cricketer"?
He'd make an AT SL ODI XI
haha whatVincent was such a golden boy/project of NZC. On a personal level, I like the guy, but as a cricketer he was given the red carpet treatment by the selectors, and **** knows why.
He was about as effective as any of the Aus domestic spinners during his career other than SOK tbf. Wasn't easy being a spinner in the Shield. An average of 40 was decentForget tests, Xavier Doherty playing 71 fc games is a mystery when he was a very average club bowler
Because he was obviously class. McMillan said in his book that Vincent was the most talented shot maker in the side (I'll have to double check this after work).Vincent was such a golden boy/project of NZC. This but deliberatelyDamn were you jerking off to Lou Vincent
"All the shots in the book, but often chose the wrong one" was a critique I read once and I don't disagreeBecause he was obviously class. McMillan said in his book that Vincent was the most talented shot maker in the side (I'll have to double check this after work).
